Welcome to Angel Road Infant School

BIG NEWS! We have opened a Nursery at school

We are celebrating the merging of the successful providers; Pavilion Playschool with Angel Road Infant School, and together we have become Angel Road Infant School and Nursery. We are delighted that the staff who previously worked at Pavilion Playschool, and some new faces, have joined us in the Nursery. We extend a very warm welcome to all the 2, 3 and 4 year olds, and their families, into our school community. You can find the Nursery in the end of the building which used to be North City Children’s Centre.

Angel Road Infant School is a busy and exciting place to learn. We aim to help our children make the best possible progress and experience a wide range of activities during their time with us. The school caters for 270 children from Reception to Year 2.

We are federated with Angel Road Junior School. All three establishments have the same Executive Principle and Governing Body. We believe that this allows us to share expertise, resources and provide vital continuity as children make the most of their learning journey.

We are very proud of our school and the achievements. We aim to help the children learn in a caring and safe environment. We want them to enjoy their learning and are committed to offer a range of exciting and inspiring activities. The whole team of teachers and support staff make Angel Road Infant School a great place to learn and work.

The views of children, parents and carers are very important to us. If you have a suggestion or a concern please call into the school. Usually a member of staff will be available to talk to you but if a longer conversation is required we may have to arrange an appointment.

We hope that you can find the information you need on this site but if you cannot please telephone or come into school and we will be very happy to meet you and answer your questions.

Ofsted says…

“Achievement is good and improving because teaching is good and some is outstanding.”

“Pupils feel safe in school and their behaviour is outstanding.”

“Pupils love to be in school and love to learn.”

“Behaviour in lessons, around the school, on the playground and in the lunch hall is impeccable. Pupils conduct themselves incredibly well as they move around the building and do not need reminders from school staff.”
